Col. William Lyon died Oct. 12, 1830. (See Obit. by Rev. Jona- than (4) Maltby). His wife died Aug. 28, 1821. (Ref. "Mansfield Gen." p. 51).

In 1787, Deacon Nathaniel Smith and Capt. Silas Kimberly were to divide the estate to widow Mary, and eight children, distribution recorded at New Haven, Dec. 20, 1790. Widow was left land at West- field. Nathaniel to have the cooper shop; the other children named as below.
