He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University, 1890; A.M., 1892, fellow of John Hopkins' 1894/5. PhD. same, 1895.

Married Dec. 19, 1904, Kate A. S. McCurley, b. 1877. Professor of Mathematics, Hedding College, Ill., 1890/1; instructor Feb-Sept. 1895; associate professor, 1895, professor, 1899 Women's College of Baltimore, Maryland. Member Phi Beta Kappa; American Mathematic Society."
