Atchison Tappan Data

Polly Molby Tappan likely died at Lansing, Michigan. Burial is said to be at Drydean, Lapeer Co., Michigan, where she lived many years.

Polly & Atchison Tappan had four daughters and one son. Some of their grandchildren are living in Lansing and East Lansing, Michigan, in 1953.

Polly lived with her daughter, Frances Whitbeck. She and Alma Kendrick kept the Bible. They lived in the same state and I think their record is likely to be the correct one. Their record said that Polly died Mar. 2, 1908. Sally Wigent's Bible said she died Mar. 4, 1908, which may be the burial date.

Emery Tappan, grandson of Atchison & Polly Tappan, is a civil engineer, now living in East Lansing, Michigan (1953). Deceased soon after Oct., 1953.

Glenn Whitbeck's address is Box 132, R.F.D.1, Lansing, Michigan.

Gladys Irene Whitbeck (Mrs. James Bissel) lives at 1107 Hickory St., Lansing, Michigan. She is the buyer and apparently manager of the ladies department of Shepherd's Shoe Store, Lansing, Michigan.

Mrs. Glenn Whitbeck was a secretary in Corning Glass Works Office for a long time.
