Without his splendid personal efforts and large expenditures in research, this long record of the Maltby-Maltbie-Molby family would never have been available to descendants.

VIII.3618. Samuel James Molby, Jr., b. Dec. 15, 1885, near Linn, Ks. (Sam.J.7, Sam.6, Chester 5, Jonathan 4, Sam.3, Sam.2, Wm.1). Mar. Sept. 20, 1911, at Palmer, Ks., Minnie Kline Denman, b. near Palmer, Ks., Mar. 7, 1882. He attended Baker University and Kansas State Agriculture College. He taught in Dickinson county and Salina schools. For some time he was county agent at Claremore, Oklahoma. Minnie K. (Denman) Molby was descended from Abram Clark through Robert Clark, Margaret Serin Clark, wife of Philip Denman, and through Jacob Nelson Denman. Abram Clark was the fourteenth signer of the Declaration of Independence, a representative from New Jersey.

"Samuel J. Molby Dies"

Farm Machinery Dealer Formerly was a Teacher.

Salina, Kansas. November 8--Samuel J. Molby, 68, a farm machinery dealer at Wichita, died yesterday at his home here. He was the father of Samuel James Molby, Jr., of 636 East Ninety-seventh Street, a Kansas City lawyer.

Mr. Molby formerly taught farm mechanics and animal husbandry at Salina high school and Chapman high school. He attended Baker University in Baldwin, Kansas, and was graduated from Kansas State College about 1922. Also surviving are his wife, Minnie Denman Molby of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Marcia Fleagle, Wichita; two brothers, Fred A. Molby, Baldwin, Walter D. Molby, Wichita, and a sister, Mrs. Lora Utz, Davenport, Iowa.

Services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday, Smith Chapel, Salina."

           1942, in Phoenix, Ariz., Perry T. Fleagle of Wichita, Ks.
           He b. Nov. 6, 1920, Friend, Ks.  They have three children,
           (1) Nancy Lou; (2) Janice Ann; (3) James Howard.
	Marcia and Perry both graduated from the University of Kansas.
