VIII.3487. Albert Alexander Maltby, b. Jan. 20, 1844 (Hiram 7, Tim.6, Tim.5, Sam.4, Sam.3, Sam.2, Wm.1). Mar. June 7, 1867, Estella Walworth, of South Richland, N.Y., b. Aug. 16, 1847; d. Feb. 26, 1901. He d. in 1903. He was in the Civil War. Enlisted Aug. 24, 1864; discharge, June 29, 1865.

VIII.3488. Ulric Zwingle Maltby, b. Jan. 9, 1848 (Hiram 7, Tim.6, Tim.5, Sam.4, Sam.3, Sam.2, Wm.1). Mar. Apr. 16, 1873, Josephine Bilque at Oswego, N.Y. She d. Aug. 8, 1908, and he remarried Elizabeth K----. He was an original member of M.A. and rendered considerable financial support to the work. Res. 73 Mohawk St., Oswego, N.Y. He was a large jewelry and stationary owner.

"Ulric Z. Maltby was in the Union Army. He was very young when he enlisted at Pulaski, N.Y., Aug. 24, 1864, when he was but 15 years and 7 months old. His Regiment was at Harrison's Landing, Virginia, prac- tically all the time he was in the Army. His discharge came June 29, 1865, at City Point, Virginia.

Born at Pulaski, N.Y., at the age of 20 he went to Oswego, N.Y. An engraver by profession. He was for 40 years an Elder in Grace Presby- terian Church. Was a member of Frontier City Lodge, 422, F. and A.M., was worthy past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star and of the Order of the Amaranth, for 30 years a member of the Fortnightly Club, a leading member of Kiwanis Club, a fisherman and member of the Leather- stocking Club, Member of Oswego Chamber of Commerce, Inc.

He was widely read, keen and intelligent. He was of sociable dis- position, affable, courteous." (From his cousin Mrs. Alta Maltby Austin)
