Entered active duty in Navy as Ensign, graduated Submarine School at New London, Conn., and was at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Commissioned Lieut. J.G. Mar. June 1, 1926, Bernice Rockwell Ward, dau. of Mr. and Mrs. George Burwell Ward of Bristol. They were stationed at Pearl Harbor and Long Beach, Calif. Retired from Navy 1936 and returned to Bristol and took up the management of the Bristol Federal Savings and Loan Association.

Engineer.

VIII.3346. Alice Barnett Maltby, b. Aug. 3, 1899 (Char.S.7, Geo.B.6, Seth M.5, Isaac 4, Benj.3, Dan.2, Wm.1). She has never married and lives with her mother, Mrs. Charles Stevens Maltby at 2536 Kemper Road, Shaker Heights 20, Ohio. She is a teacher of science in the High School at Cleveland, Ohio.
(Note. Many records arrived too late to be included in the proper place. Charles Stevens Maltby, father of Alice Barnett, died July 17, 1947. His sister, Grace M. Maltby, has been working as a practical nurse for 34 years in Dunham Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio, and expects to retire in July, 1955.
