Arkansas" with the British fleet, from July. 1918, to Dec. 1918. The "Arkansas" was one of the battleships privileged to help in the surrender of the German fleet. Also it was one of the ships detailed to welcome President Wilson, at Brest, France, and was due in New York late in December to take part in the Naval Review at New York City.
He finished his course at Hiram College and graduated June 18, 1919. He mar. June 19, 1919, Ethel King.
