VII.1969. Martha Linsley Spencer, b. Oct. 28, 1875 (Esther Linsley 6, John S. Linsley 5, Sarah 4, Benj.3, Dan.2, Wm.1). She was born in the 2nd Gov. Trumbull house in Lebanon, Ct. Soon after she was born, the family removed to Deep River; educ. in schools at Deep River, Vermont Academy (class of 1896), special student Emerson Coll; an artist, in painting and design; teacher of dramatics, working in program prepar- ation and presentation for pupil graduation in Hartford public schools for many years. She staged dramatic productions for Bristol an West Hartford high schools; taught dramatics at St. Mary's Training School, at Convent of the Good Shepherd. Honorary member of the Bard and Sage Study Club, also of the Emerson College Club; Charter member of the Founders of Hartford; held many offices in Poetry Club, Hartford, in- cluding President. Made permanent Vice Pres., Poetry Editor of Hart- ford Times since 1929. Published poems. Six ancestors fought in the American Revolution. In 1948, she resided Hartford. Unmarried.

VII.1970. George Dwight Spencer, b. Aug. 22, 1878, Deep River, Ct. (Esther Linsley 6, John S. Linsley 5, Sarah 4, Benj.3, Dan.2, Wm.1). Mar. Grace Adell Higgins, b. Aug. 23, 1877, Hartford, Ct. Went to Oakland, Cal., March 1909, and was for 25 years Train Electrician for the Southern Pacific Company. Retired 1936.

Apr. 13, 1886, Bethlehem, New Hamp. They were mar. at Littleton, N.H. He went into Gladiolus Business for himself, 1922; Exec. Sec. of Building Trades Employers Ass. 1939 at Springfield, Mass.

Studied Civil Engineering Worcester Polytechnic Inst., two and a half years. Went to Oregon, Jan. 1910. Mar. Feb. 22, 1917, Charlotte Elizabeth Peterson Stanwick; b. July 11, 1888, Peoria, Ill. He has been Asst. Land and Tax Agent for Union Pacific R. R. Company for 33 years.
