"Polly and Atchison Tappan had four daughters and one son; some of their grandchildren are living in Lansing and East Lansing, Mich." (1953). Polly Molby Tappan died Mar. 2, 1908.

*No. 2189 and 2192 are carried out in the 7th generation. Note. From 1914 to about 1950, a near neighbor in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, was a Mr. Tappan, who came from the Rhode Island family of that name--said to be, at the present time prominent and wealthy.
Mr. Fred A Molby writes: "Polly lived with her daughter, Frances Whitbeck. She and Alma Kendrick kept the Bible. They lived in the same state and I think their record is likely to be the correct one. Their record said that Polly died Mar. 2, 1908. Sally Wigent's Bible said she died Mar. 4, 1908, which may be the burial date."
The Tappan family had long lived at Dryden, Mich. Atchison Tappan's father, Asher, was son of Deacon John Tappan (1756-1818) and Sarah (Munson) Tappan.

"They seem to have adopted one Hattie B. Fox, who mar. Horace Maltby, son of Samuel Hugh Maltby, son of William, brother of Ches- ter. In 1916, Horace and Hattie lived in Munger, Michigan."
Harvey B. Walker said that Lydia Skinner had 3 children buried in the Redman cemetery near Peru, N.Y., in the town of Elbridge.
