Jan. 13, 1790, in Vermont; dau. of Samuel and Patience (Choate) Duncan, of Worcester Co., Mass. She d. at Pulaski, N.Y., July 4, 1855. He mar. (2) Caroline Lord Mathews, Nee' Smith, Oct. 22, 1857. He d. at Pulaski, N.Y. in 1870 (?). She was b. June 22, 1805; d. Dec. 13, 1862, at Pulaski. No issue. She was dau. of Chauncy Smith and Lydia (Lord) ? his wife.
Selina Maltby Foote wrote: "Anson kept a great Tavern, lived in Whitehall."
The Choate (or Choates) ancestry is: 1. Robert Choate and Sarah ----; 2. John Choate, bp. Broton, Boxford, Colchester, Eng., Mass. 1643 mar. Anne; 3. Samuel Choate, mar. Mary, dau. of Stephen and Sarah (Wise) Williams. She was a cousin of Rev. John Williams; 4. Stephen Choate m. Rebecca, dau. of Samuel and Rebecca (Andrews) Boroman; 5. Stephen and Bathsheba Newton, dau. of Uriah and Patience (Newton) Newton; 6. Patience Choate mar. Samuel Duncan. (Records by Anson Maltby).

VI.1032. Timothy Maltby, b. Mar. 15, 1794, Paris, N.Y. (Tim.5, Sam.4, Sam.3, Sam.2, Wm.1). Mar. Mar. 22, 1815, Beulah Harmon, at Richland, Oswego Co., N.Y. She d. Sept. 27, 1846. He mar. (2) Mrs. Lucinda Towne b. Feb. 12, 1811, Westford, N.Y. They were mar. Jan. 5, 1847. He d. July 12, 1862. She was living 1906 at Weedsport, N.Y. She d. Mar. 29, 1907, in her 97th year.
Selina Foote (6) wrote: "They lived in Whitehall--perhaps he was a partner in Anson's great Tavern." He d. July 12, 1862.
Beulah Harmon descended from the pioneer, John Harmon, who came to America early in the sixteen hundreds. Alta Jane Maltby (Mrs. Austin) a grand-dau. of Timothy wrote: "One of my maternal ancestors was a Warner, a founder of Hartford, Ct., he owned land across the street from the Charter Oak." Mary, dau. of Stephen Williams is said to descend from Rev. John Williams of Hadley, Massachusetts.
