American Lineage

on the Hardscrabble road out of Baldwinsville, now the Van Buren Road.

Jacob Maltby was a soldier in the war with England during his young manhood, and his grave bears a marker as a reminder of this fact.

Jacob's burial place was on the "Rouse Farm." We believe this to have been the Harrison Rouse farm, he that married Harriet Molby, daughter of Chester Molby, and who bought the Chester Molby farm from his heirs. One of Jacob's sons had bodies, among them Jacob's removed from the Rouse farm to the Riverview Cemetery at Baldwins- ville, New York.

             m. (1) Jane Mann; m. (2) Charlotte Howe.
VI.1061.  Henry (Hank) Maltby, b. Oct. 18, 1821; d. Dec. 22, 1903
             in Van Buren, single.  Buried Baldwinsville, N.Y.
VI.1062.  John Maltby, b.     1823; d. Oct. 27, 1904; m. MalvinaMalone.
VI.1063.  Lucy Maltby, b. July 30, 1827; d. June 15, 1864;
             m. William Smith, who was b. about 1827 in Saratoga Co.,
                  N.Y.  She is buried in Baldwinsville, N.Y.

John Bowman and his first wife are buried in the Belle Isle cemetery in the town of Camillus, while the final resting place of Jacob and Sally Maltby is in Riverview cemetery in Baldwinsville, N.Y.
