                             Dec. 25, 1823.
VI.749.  Catharine Ward "  b. Mar. 8, 1806; m. John Kennedy of New
                             Haven, Nov. 5, 1828.
VI.750.  Eli Maltby     "  b. Dec. 13, 1813.

V.287. Anne Maltby, b. Aug. 13, 1765, at Goshen, Conn. (Dan.4, Dan.3, Dan.2, Wm.1). She went to Norfolk, Conn. and mar. Samuel Stevens, son of Nathaniel and Lois (Camp) Stevens. Lois was dau. of Deac. Abraham Camp. Samuel Stevens was b. at Norfolk, Conn., Mar. 6, 1766. They removed to New Marlborough, Mass., where he died. They were mar. in June 1800. (Norfolk Records call her "Anna Maltbie). Children not given. (Ref: The Stevens Family of Norfolk, Conn.).

V.288. Jehiel Merriman Maltbie, b. Sept. 20, 1767, at Goshen, (Dan.4, Dan.3, Dan.2, Wm1). Mar. Phebe ----- possibly a Birdsey, as they name a son Birdsey. "Phebe Maltbie was admitted to the Church at Norfolk, Conn., 7 June, 1801. She removed to New York." (Vol. III, Norfolk Ch. Rec.)

*(N.B. I note that Brewin Baldwin and Hannah Foote, name a child Birdsey).

The first three children were bapt. at Norfolk Ct. July 19,1801.

VI.752.  Seth     "     b. Nov. 12, 1793.
VI.753.  Birdsey  "     b. July 19, 1801.
VI.754.  James    "     bp. July 24, 1803.
     Descendants write: "A child of Jehiel died in 1790 and another
child died Feb. 1792."
     *Brewin Baldwin, b. 1752, mar. Aug. 13, 1772, Hannah, dau. of
Ebenezer Foot of Cornwall.  He d. Sept. 6, 1833, and she d. June 10,
1823.  Their dau. Betsey, b. May 18, 1788; mar. Nov. 1811, Allen
Maltbie of Ohio. (Ref. Hist. of Goshen).
     Also, their dau. Laura M. Baldwin, b. Jan. 18, 1798, m. Feb.11,
1823, Jesse Maltbie, who died April 19, 1824.
     It would appear that Birdsey was a name either in the Baldwin
or Foot family.

V.289. Daniel Munson Maltby, b. Aug. 28, 1770; bapt. Sept. 30, 1770, at Church of Christ, Norfolk, Conn. (Dan.4, Dan3, Dan.2, Wm.1).

James M. Maltbie (Dan.(6), Zacheus (5), wrote: "Grandfather Zacheus had a younger brother, named Daniel, who came into this State" (New York) "with him. He studied medicine for a while but became ill and settled on a small farm in Groton, N.Y., and lived a hermit life there for forty years, but finally came to my father's and spent his last days with us." He was not married. Note. Daniel was elder brother of Zacheus, not younger.
