V.254. Benjamin Maltby, b. (Wm.4, Jos.3, Dan.2, Wm.1).

Rev. Jonathan (4) Maltby wrote: "Benjamin lived in Wisconsin in 1849, had one son living. He mar. Persis Childe. Persis Maltby, his wife, wrote in 1858, "that her husband had made his will and left to his two sons, some money." (Child Gen., p. 331)

"Persis Child mar. July 6, 1815, Benjamin Maltby. All their children died unmarried. They lived in Thetford, Vt. in 1864,"

I think Benjamin died at Murill, Wis., buried at Milton, Wis. in 1863.

Persis Child was b. at Thetford, Vt., Jan. 31, 1792, dau. of William and Mary (Heaton) Child, d. Jan.5,1865, ae. 73"(Tombstone) (or aged 72, 11-5. Town Record) widow of Benjamin Maltby.

Mrs. William Slade of Thetford, Vt., has a letter written by Persis (Child) Maltby, dated "July, 1855. Fulton."

She mentions living near her brother Eber Child who lived at Fulton, Wisconsin. She speaks of being "childless"--that "William had not been heard of for six years, and they do not expect to hear now." Apparently her husband was living, as she says "we" several times.

     VI.671. William Maltby.

V.255. Huldah Maltby (Wm.4, Jos.3, Dan.2, Wm.1).

"Mar. William Cox." Mary Persis Maltby (Mrs. John P. Victory) dau. of Norman Maltby (5), writes: He mar. again and I think his children were all by his second wife.)

V.258. Sally Maltby (Wm.4, Jos.3, Dan.2, Wm.1).

Rev. Jonathan (4) Maltby's MS., states "Sally mar. John B. Watkins, who died aged 62. She was living in 1849."

V.259. Persis Maltby (Wm.4, Jos.3, Dan.2, Wm.1).

Rev. Jonathan (4) Maltby, wrote: "Percy mar. Frederick Brown. She died aged 30. She had one son, living in 1849."

VI. Son ---- Brown, liv. 1849.

V.260. Huldah Maltby, bp. Sept. 22, 1777, at Salisbury, Conn. (Noah 4, Jos.3, Dan.2, Wm.1). Her father's will, proved Aug. 20, 1827, mentions her. No further data.

I think she is the Huldah Maltby who mar. Ebenezer Kasson Knapp, b. Dec. 6, 1763. He d. June 6, 1843, Onondaga Valley, N.Y. He was son of Moses and Margaret (Kasson) Knapp, son of Moses and Jemima Mead, son of Ebenezer and Elizabeth (Chrisay) Knapp, son of Moses and Elizabeth Knapp.

There is a mar. "1798 ---- Maltby mar. ---- Leavenworth, Dec. 1798, Bethlehem, Conn." As Bethlehem is only about 5 miles north of Woodbury, this may be a child of Noah (4) Maltby.

V.261. Edin (or Adin) Maltby, bp. Mar. 22, 1773 (?) Salisbury, Conn. Church Rec. (Noah 4, Joseph 3, Dan.2, Wm.1). He was
